Happy Pride. Black Lives Matter.
Life is funny. I spent months envisioning how I would launch this project I’ve been working on for the past two years. These crazy romance books that I love and that are so dear to my heart. I imagined the perfect posts. The perfect words. Beautiful pictures and funny hashtags.
None of that really matters though, does it?
What matters now is that we persist. That we stay true to who we are and what we stand for. And it’s okay to cry sometimes (some days intermittently, every thirty minutes). To be angry as hell. To be disappointed in society and the people around you. To want change. To want better or more. To mourn the loss of whatever it is you had. To be excited or scared about whatever is coming. To have hope. All of it is okay.
As for me, here are my gay vampires. They are sexy, they are thoughtful, they are ethnic, they are funny and they make me happy. I hope they make you happy, too. Whatever makes you happy or gives you joy: Go get it. Press on. #LoreAndLust #LoveIsLove
